The board recommended approval of both items as staff proposed. Block 36 in the Crafts Section is capped at 45 ft with no Mediterranean bonus height. Separately, bonus projects citywide can exclude enclosed rooftop amenity space from height if it covers no more than 25% of the floor below. An already-approved project on the block asked to be carved out, and the city attorney said the ordinance has no grandfathering provision.
